Moore Power In the Coo-Chee

Hi beautiful holders of the most sacred space to ever exist; the Divine Feminine.

I hope you are well and high vibrational as you move through the shifts of this year.

Iโ€™ve been seeing a lot of misinformation , in my opinion, on proper coo-chee care and etiquette.

So I decided to dig into my bag of Femininity to give you Moore information about how to maintain, care for, and heal your lady part.

1. Health & Hygiene are upmost important. Self care routines and OBGYN appointments in some capacity are recommended. Know your status and your scent well.

2. Skin care regimen around this area is important. Ingrown hairs, dark spots, and bruises are natural to this sensitive area and there are products to assist. Research ladies!

3. Watch your food and liquor intake! Eat your vegetables, drink your water, tea, cranberry, and pineapple juice. IYKYK!

4. Let that thang breathe by going commando sometimes. Feel that giggle in your wiggle. Itโ€™s a confidence booster.

5. Panty etiquette matters as you mature! Thongs with jeans, no white undies with black pants, no colored undies with white pants. Know which fabrics irritate you and give you comfort.

6. Tight clothing can irritate you. Loosen up daily.

7. Hair care down there matters just as much as your head! Trim, wax, or shave. Ladyscape!

8. Develop a close bond with it. Touch it, look at it, and smell it. If you are turned off, give her more time, care, water, and attention.

9. Choose wisely who you let see, touch, and connect with you intimately. Energy does transfer significantly when we sexually engage. Pee before and after sex. Donโ€™t be afraid to ask your partner to wash their hands or their parts! Donโ€™t be afraid to say โ€œnoโ€! Itโ€™s yours even if you say itโ€™s theirs during intercourse. ๐Ÿคช

10. Pop that thang , at home by yourself at least! This activates the sacral chakra energy and ignites your creativity.

11. Clean your sex toys and tools. Regularly.

12. Discharge is normal but an odor is not. Please seek medical or herbal professional assistance.

13. Consistent raw sex can throw off your PH balance especially if he ejaculates inside of you. Wrap it up or knock it off sometimes.

I am almost one year postpartum and the rituals and routines I have indulged in have enhanced the healing process.

As previously discussed, my first child was a scheduled induction because she was 7 days past her due date.

With my second child, I was scheduled to be induced because she was projecting to be 7 days late, as well.

I want to explain the process leading up to my vaginal delivery.

๐•„๐•–๐•ž๐•“๐•ฃ๐•’๐•Ÿ๐•– ๐•Š๐•ฅ๐•ฃ๐•š๐•ก๐•ก๐•š๐•Ÿ๐•˜

About 6  days before my due date, I did allow the doctors to strip my membrane.

This is a process where the doctors take their finger, insert it into your vagina, and literally attempt to scratch or influence your water bag to burst so labor can start. Itโ€™s supposed to increase stimulation so you can start dilating.

This method was not guaranteed to accelerate labor but was worth the try.

Needless to say, it didnโ€™t do anything but cause discomfort for a few hours and spotting. The contractions after were very intense and honestly not worth the procedure. From my experience, it is best to honestly just allow your body to flow into labor on its own.

The emotional toll this takes on you, so frustrated and overwhelmed with the effects of the last trimester, save yourself the headache.

Instead, try indulging in pregnancy approved exercise, take long baths to ease your discomfort, drink more water, and rest your mind because your baby will only come when it is time.

๐”ผ๐•ž๐• ๐•ฅ๐•š๐• ๐•Ÿ๐•’๐• ๐•Ž๐•–๐•๐•๐•Ÿ๐•–๐•ค๐•ค

Everyone around me was delivering their baby before me and emotionally I was out of it! Being my second pregnancy, in fear of another c section, I was frustrated beyond words. Hormonal and exerting too much mental energy, I didnโ€™t allow my mind to relax so my body could naturally shift into labor. Take it easy on yourself transitioning into month 9 or even close to 10!

Your pregnancy is not theirs and your baby will come when it or they are ready! Staying off of social media is probably my number 1 suggestion to ease this mental pressure. 

Instead of emotionally overwhelming yourself, do whatever makes you feel more at ease. Eating, walking, resting, painting, dancing, drawing, or my pregnancy favorite; crying! Release those hormones through tears if you have to.

If possible, share with your partner, a close friend, or family member your true concerns and frustrations. Do not allow your emotions to drive you crazy because you may go beyond your due date or you could be the last of your circle to birth your child! Enjoy your process! Let your body take its time!

โ„™๐•™๐•ช๐•ค๐•š๐•”๐•’๐• ๐”ธ๐•”๐•ฅ๐•š๐•ง๐•š๐•ฅ๐•ช & ๐”ผ๐•ฉ๐•–๐•ฃ๐•”๐•š๐•ค๐•–

Everyday and I mean, every single day, since the confirmation of pregnancy, I was active. Walking the park, up hills, stretching, and even increasing my sexual activity. NOTHING will shift your body into labor but your bodyโ€™s time! I donโ€™t even want to exaggerate and say these methods will increase your chances because they may not! Being my second go around I thought my body would shift a little easier with the influence of exercise but as we know due dates are estimates; that date is not the day your baby signed to be born. Do not overexert yourself trying to push yourself into labor.

Instead, nest! Spend that time with your partner enjoying the final phase before this new beginning. Music and resting were my best friends at this point. Leave the errands to everyone else! Prepare your babyโ€™s space, write your birth plan, and cry. Let it all out because pregnancy, especially the end is a lot !

๐”น๐•š๐•ฃ๐•ฅ๐•™ โ„™๐•๐•’๐•Ÿ

I want to encourage more mothers to write a birth plan! In the event you are too preoccupied by the pressure to respond, you want everyone to know your wishes. This helps doctors and your delivery team be clear about your expectations. Your comfort is essential during delivery, so create the intimate space wherever you choose to birth, to enhance the ambiance. Share this plan with whomever will be present and doctors to ensure everyone is on the same accord!

With all this being said, the day I decided to not worry about going into labor, my body went into labor. My mucus plug came out at about 4am and the contractions had me in tears by noon. I couldnโ€™t even speak without crying and the contractions were every 2 minutes at this point. Mommies to be, my BEST advice for dealing with contraction is MOVEMENT AND MUSIC. Moving around during contractions eased the pressure not the intensity! I promise, on the ride to the hospital, music helped me keep track of my contractions and also distracted me. I know, I was both breathing and whining like a baby while bobbing my head to the beat. The air from outside blowing heavily on my face was also very therapeutic for times I was just too taken aback by the intensity of contractions.

Mommies, I want you to be prepared for the real! Itโ€™s bloody, itโ€™s messy, itโ€™s intense, and it does not HURT to push. Contractions on the other hand can take an army of the most masculine men out! You donโ€™t know where they are coming from. You donโ€™t know how to truly ease them. You cannot make them stop. You can only breathe through them. You cannot force your body into labor. You can only embrace your journey and wait for your bundle of joy to be delivered when it’s time.

On October 11th, 2019 at 12:11 AM, after about 15 good minutes of painless pushing, Leilani Jiselle was born at 6 lbs 5 oz. I threw up leading up to pushing and cried because I was starving. Ladies FEED yourself through contractions if you can. I know what doctors recommend but I donโ€™t subscribe to medical practices. My wish was to not deliver in the hospital but by circumstances, I went. Regardless of where you choose to deliver, know your body is going to release everything before delivery. You may throw up. You may sh*t. You may scream holy hell! But I promise pushing does not hurt, your vagina will recover, and your baby will be delivered and placed into your arms as you are welcomed gracefully into the world of Motherhood.

I do not know why there arenโ€™t a lot of posts about how to care for cold sores but here is what Iโ€™ve gathered from my experience and exposure. Based on personal and private conversations, Iโ€™ve come to terms that there is nothing you can do but try to soothe and comfort yourself through the healing process. In my non-medical professional opinion, I believe cold sores are the manifestation of one of the following:

  • Extreme dehydration
  • Significant change in emotional or mental energy.
    • Overthinking, overworking, stressing, etc.
  • Your immune systems call for help
  • Your lips cry for moisture & care
  • The reaction to citrus, spice, or pressure (hit, bumped, or cut).

Regardless of the source, cold sores are more common than we know, so the conversation should be more public. There is nothing to be embarrassed about because the virus lies in thousands of humans who never display a reaction. You are just apart of the collective that does and thus it is best to learn to care for them instead of hopelessly seeking a permanent cure. Now, if there is a cure, I am not aware of it but feel free to do your own research to discover what resonates with you.

This post is about sharing an inexpensive, do it yourself care routine for making yourself more comfortable during the healing process. The healing process is equivalent but the savings on products and comfort level is significant.

What you will need for this routine:

  Product  Use
Black Tea bagTo soothe irritation and discomfort.
Coconut oil or Pure Olive OilTo protect the skin.
Cool waterTo clean.
Frozen towelTo release swelling.
Water & VegetablesAccelerate repairing of skin.
White face towelWashing & drying tool.

Before the Routine

  1. Wet and freeze a small towel for 3 hours.
  2. Clean your face and cold sore under cool water.
    1. Place your hands in a cup, open your mouth, and allow your hands to fill with enough water to cover your sore.
    1. Allow your sore to just be submerged in your cupped hands under the running water.  

Cold Sore Care Routine

  1. Boil some water on the stove or use a kettle. Boil water for about 5 minutes and pour water into a mug or cup and place the black tea bag under a spoon for about 5 minutes.
  2. Use your finger tip to test the temperature to ensure it is not too hot, retrieve the tea bag, squeeze gently so it is not dripping but still damp, and then gently press against sore. If your sore is full, be incredibly careful to not bust.  You may feel something, but it should not be too intense. If it is, your tea bag it just too hot. Let cool then reattempt. Allow to sit on sore for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bag and air dry your sore or fan with your hand. Grab your frozen towel and apply just as gently for 40 second intervals for about 15 minutes. Do not allow the towel to just sit, gently press and remove the towel in the 40 second intervals to not cause the sore to burst.
  4. Immediately following, dry with your white face towel and apply coconut oil or olive oil with a q tip or similar tool.
    1. You can apply with clean hands but be gentle to not puncture or burst fluid from sore if it exists.
  5. Repeat this for about every 4 hours.

Additional 411:

  • Reapply your choice of oil, as necessary. It is best to keep sore moisturized for the skin repair purposes. The oil dries the fluid and may turn your sore white or full of puss. Do not pick or bust. Allow to release with the application of oil but remember to always be gentle when touching sore.
    • This does soothe and assist the repairing of the skin as the sore dissolves. From this, there is not the huge scarring left behind; it is very very minimal and should not be pulled off. Like a loose tooth, allow the skin to fall off as it will when you apply oil. The tingling burning feeling that other products make you feel is avoided.

Moore Tips

  • Drink water, cranberry juice, or tea.
  • Eat green things to boost your immune system.
  • Avoid citrus fruit and salt, as it may burn the sore.
  • Rest, rest, and more rest!
  • Try to stay out of the sun.

The healing process is about the same, but it is not as intense, unattractive, and uncomfortable.

I hope this helps someone take better care of their cold sore.

Moore Pregnancy Advice

If you’re new to my blog, this is my second pregnancy and I must say the statement “each pregnancy is different’ holds so much truth.

During my first pregnancy I was working a full time and part time job, enrolled in 6 Undergraduate on campus classes, and not really aware of the physical transformation I was experiencing.

Now, I am a full time Graduate student and have been blessed to be able to fully enjoy the entire pregnancy experience from beginning to end without other obligations.

I’ve created a list of tips that have been very helpful during this pregnancy. I want to share as much valuable information with new Mommy’s because you honestly have no idea what the transformation truly entails without hearing the experiences of others.

  • Honor your body’s need to rest. Don’t overwork your mind or your body. What your body says goes during this time and it is best to listen. When you need a day to just lie in bed or kick your feet up, take full advantage of it.
  • Hydrate. Please be sure to drink more water than you’ve ever drunk in your entire life. The body can become very dehydrated quicker because you are now nurturing another life. Water helps increase energy and alleviate premature Braxton Hicks.
  • Learn to manage your resources wisely. During this time it is vital to be aware of the people, money, support, places, and programs that are available to you so that you can better prepare for this 10 month long journey and postpartum process.
  • Be more active (if possible). Some Mommy’s are put on bed rest by their providers and if so, please honor that request. However, if you are all in the clear to be active, please take at least 30 minutes of your day to walk, stretch, pregnant yoga, dance, or participate in light cardio. Google is a great resource for finding pregnancy approved routines.
  • Know what your insurance covers. As adults, I know health insurance is a thing we all dread but during this time, it is very important to know what services are fully covered and also what free programs and incentives you’re given as a new Mommy.
  • Cry. With an increase in hormones it is only expected that you are overly emotional. Never resist the need to cry. It is completely okay to feel however you feel and everyone around you should respect it.
  • Get what you crave. Pregnancy creates some very weird cravings and take it from me, ignoring them will only leave you hungry and emotional. Sometimes your body won’t let you eat anything else until you’ve satisfied your craving.
  • Be ready for everyday change. No seriously! Everyday your body makes some minor change which has a macro affect on your body and emotions. From morning sickness, hives, restlessness, leaky breasts, an increase in vaginal discharge, hair growth or loss, appetite loss, and many other things; it’s best to be prepared to make yourself as comfortable as possible.
  • Join a support group. There are a ton of online support groups for Mommy’s that provide free information and sometimes even free stuff. There are apps that help track your weekly progression and allow you to interact with Mommy’s locally and worldwide. Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook also have very supportive communities.
  • Snack. It is completely okay to each that cupcake, candy, or brownie but find healthy snacks to increase energy and gain healthy weight. Nausea and morning sickness will make it more difficult to eat bigger meals throughout the day. Trail mix, yogurt, carrots and celery, and fruit salads have been my go to snacks during this pregnancy. I’ve gained about 40 pounds but most of it is from snacking.
  • Be patient. Towards the end of pregnancy, you will become impatient waiting on your bundle of joy to be born. If you’re anything like me, you will surpass your due date and may have to be induced. Be okay with being up to 42 weeks pregnant, as long as your baby is healthy. As badly as we would want to deliver on time, labor is a process with a mind of it’s own and patience is vital for your mental and emotional sanity. Occupy your time with activities you enjoy or nesting for baby.

The Moore Experience: Pregnancy

I am currently 21 weeks pregnant and I’ve been reflecting on the past few weeks and comparing it to my first pregnancy with my first daughter, six years ago.

I was 21 years old, enrolled in six classes, working a PT and FT job. My life was fully booked and I didn’t really get to fully bask in the journey of pregnancy. I wasn’t able to dedicate the time I would’ve liked to fully bonding with my baby and learning about my body during this time.

This time around, I am 27 years old and my life circumstances are all totally different; leaving me enough time, space, and energy to indulge in the experience. Each pregnancy is different and this one of the two has been way more intense; emotionally and physically.

I delivered my first daughter via c-section and I received an epidural. She was 6 days late and doctor intervention is the reason I was forced to have a c-section. This pregnancy, I am so much more aware of my body and am aiming to deliver vaginally.

I’ve learned overtime the benefits of living a more holistic lifestyle and relying on herbal and home remedies to cure illnesses and pain. I stopped taking aspirin in 2013 and started doing yoga and eating healthier to increase my wellness.

I am planning to carry this baby until whatever date I go into labor, as long as she passes stress test and it doesn’t become a health risk to either one of us. Through this pregnancy experience I’ve learned my body and know more about it than doctors. I am following my feelings and allowing natural child birth to happen for how many days it needs to.

Even though she wasn’t planned, I am ready to bring another spirit into this dimension. Motherhood has been the best chapter of my womanhood. Bonding and nurturing another human is an experience unlike any other and I am eager to meet her.

I am exactly where I should be and this blessing has only brought me to my greatest sense of awareness. My intimate relationships have grown and the amount of love and support is so appreciated. I am getting everything I desire this pregnancy and know there is so much Moore in store for my family and I.

Pregnancy Update for 3/1/2019

Week 9

Since my last check in a lot of things have changed.

I am no longer itching to death from Hives. They have gone away and I am now dealing with the dry skin patches left behind. I would say I have about 50 little polka dot sized spots from the back of my neck to my knees.

From blood work, my Vitamin D was lower than average and I’ve been prescribed Vitamin D pills to take daily for 60 days. I immediately felt the increase in energy after taking the first one. I am starting to feel a little more like myself. However, walking through the mall for 30 minutes still feels like I ran a marathon.

From blood work, it has been confirmed that I am pregnant with TWINS. Blood work has also confirmed the chromosomes of the baby and I will keep the gender under wraps until a later update. (Smile)

I am technically, 9 weeks but since I am having Twins, I will be delivering the twins via C section during week 37 or 38 per the doctors order. This is very common and at first I was afraid due to my first experience but my emotional and physical support system has created a sheet of comfort.

I am due to graduate with my MBA in Human Resources Management on August 4th, 2019 but depending on how heavy my stomach is, I will miss the ceremony. I already feel like I’m carrying about 5 pounds in the front already and they are only the size of blueberries lol.

I want to publicly express how supportive the Father of my children has been. He has been here every time I call and is providing the strength I need to get through this. He has been my best friend and a shoulder to scream and cry on when needed. He has catered to all of my cravings and stood firm in the storm of mood swings. Our love continues to grow with my belly. I am truly in love with you Sir and I am honored to carry your children.

I just want to express how much I appreciate him to the world because I would be an emotional wreck without his love and encouragement.

Twins are truly a gift from Beloved and I continue to express how I feel Chosen. My Spiritual journey has taken a drastic turn and none of this was in my plans but they say that life is full of surprises. This pregnancy was a surprise and Twins doubled that element. I am pleasantly surprised at how Beloved is leading the way to abundance for me.

Beloved, I am ready for this journey and I ask for everyone to keep us in your prayers. I am anticipating delivering my healthy – beautiful bundles of joy during Virgo season. Their father is a Virgo and my Venus is in Virgo.

Since I stopped trying to control my destiny, the Universe has swept me off of my feet.

I am absolutely flying on love.
